BOSTON TERRIER CLUB OF AMERICA The official AKC organization for the Boston Terrier.  The association is responsible for writing the AKC Standard for the breed.  It holds a roving National Specialty Show each year which includes conformation, obedience and agility events.  Regional clubs are affiliate clubs of this organiztion.  Its website offers a BREEDER SEARCH tool to locate member breeders by state. AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB The AKC is the official registry for purebred dogs in the United States.  It maintains the stud book for all AKC-recognized breeds and offers conformation, performance and companion events for purebred as well as mixed breed dogs.  It also offers grant programs for health- related research through the Canine Health Foundation and disaster recovery through the Pet Disaster Relief program. AKC RESCUE NETWORK The American Kennel Club provides a list of rescue organizations by breed.
